The province registers the death record from this second wave of the pandemic with 16 deaths, according to data from the Ministry of Health. The good news is that infections are down, 602, and hospital admissions to 477 in a trend that seems to be moving away from the figures well above 500 that have been registered in hospitals in the last two weeks. Those admitted to the ICU also decreased by two people.
The Valencian Community has registered 1,427 new cases of coronaviruses confirmed by PCR test or through antigen test, which put the total number of positives at 97,397 people. By province, the distribution of new positives is as follows: 107 in Castellón (11,232 in total); 602 in Alicante (33,656 in total), and 718 in the province of Valencia (52,507 in total). Furthermore, the total number of unassigned patients remains at two.
On the other hand, since the last update, there have been 1,883 discharges to patients with coronavirus, so the total number of people cured since the start of the pandemic stands at 90,774: 10,569 in Castellón, 31,178 in Alicante and 48,974 in Valencia. Valencian hospitals currently have 1,435 people admitted: 119 in the province of Castellón, with 23 patients in ICU; 477 in the province of Alicante, 104 of them in the UCI; and 839 in the province of Valencia, 164 of them in ICU.
On the other hand, they have registered 25 deaths due to coronavirus since the last update, so the total number of deaths is 2,290 people: 316 in the province of Castellón, 818 in that of Alicante, sixteen more, and 1,156 in that of Valencia.
The total number of tests carried out for the detection of the coronavirus amounted to 1,701,018, of which 1,539,507 were through PCR and 161,511 through rapid test.
