Artem Chigvintsev is going on week four of his battle with pneumonia.
“He still has pneumonia. Monday or Tuesday we’ll get [another] update,” the “Dancing With the Stars” pro’s fiancée, Nikki Bella, told Page Six on the red carpet at the Fanatics Super Bowl 2022 party in Los Angeles on Saturday.
“He gets his lungs rescanned and we’ll find out if they’re better. The swellings gone down so, fingers crossed. We’re praying really hard that we get good news.”
Chigvintsev, 39, announced via Instagram on Jan. 20 that he had to drop out of the “Dancing With the Stars: Live!” tour due to “unexpected health issues.”
“I had another X-ray done yesterday, and it came back still positive for pneumonia,” he shared in an update posted to his Instagram Story on Feb. 3. “So I just got another set of antibiotics. This is of course number two.”
He added, “Hopefully, this one will do the magic, will do the trick, to kick out the pneumonia out of my lungs. So that’s where I’m at. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.”
Nikki, 38, told Page Six on Saturday that while Chigvintsev continues to recover, he’s officially on babysitting duty – along with Bryan Danielson – as she and twin sister Brie Bella party it up in Los Angeles for Super Bowl LVI festivities. Nikki shares 1-year-old Matteo with Chigvintsev, while Brie and Danielson are parents to Birdie, 4, and Buddy, 1.
“It’s daddy daycare this weekend … no kids, spicy margs, no babies,” Nikki said of her and Brie’s plans. “Mamas gone wild, daddy daycare.”
“I tried to add in a bedtime routine, a curfew, and I got yelled at,” she continued. “I tried to talk to {Brie] on the plane this morning, like, ‘Let’s maybe have a curfew for the night.’”
Brie chimed in, telling Page Six, “I wouldn’t even listen to her! I was like, ’No, we have no kids, no husbands. That means no curfew.’”
The “Total Bellas” stars were among a number of celebrities who attended Michael Rubin’s star-studded bash in Culver City, Calif., on Saturday. The two turned heads on the carpet in bright red ensembles that Brie personally picked out and purchased for her and her sister.
“It was planned. I actually got them for us,” Brie told us of the chic outfits. “I wanted to do like a twin, Destiny’s Child theme … I guess that’s her Valentine’s Day gift.”
Inside the soirée, Nikki and Brie were spotted mingling with stars like model Camille Kostek and former “DWTS” co-host Erin Andrews. They were also seen dancing along as Megan Thee Stallion took the stage and performed a number of her hits, including “Savage,” “WAP” and “Body.”
Other celebrities at the party included Ryan Phillippe, Tinashe, Shaquille O’Neal, Eli Manning, Charli and Dixie D’Amelio, J Balvin and Doja Cat.
