Saget, who had used his electronic key to enter the room at 2 am, was due to leave early that Sunday morning, according to the report. When family members were unable to reach the comedian, who was on tour, they contacted The Ritz Carlton security team, who dispatched an officer to his room, according to the report.

The security officer, Jody Lee Harrison, tried to “knock on the door several times” before entering the room to find all the lights off. Harrison found Saget in bed, “cool to the touch, yellow and wet,” with his left arm crossed over his chest, according to the report. Harrison checked his breathing and pulse, but none were detected.
The room itself was described as “neat”, with the Saget toiletries still on the nightstand, the TV stand, and in the closet and bathroom.
The 911 call, posted with redactions by the sheriff’s office Monday, showed a hotel employee telling the dispatcher, “We have an unresponsive guest in the room.” The caller said the guest “was not responding, was not breathing, and had no pulse.”
The sheriff’s office has passed the ruling on Saget’s cause of death to the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Officer.
Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany said in a statement Monday that Saget’s autopsy was completed, with “no evidence of drug use or foul play.” However, the cause and manner of death are “pending further study and investigation, which may take 10 to 12 weeks to complete,” according to the statement.
The death of Saget, best known for his role as single dad Danny Tanner on the ABC sitcom “Full House” and as the original host of the network’s “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” has led to a outpouring of pain from all over the country of fans, friends and colleagues.
