Now that travelling is open once again, which destination should you visit?

Summer is coming! The weather is getting warmer and our mood is improving. People cannot wait to go outside again and quit their stuffy winter coats. What better way to enjoy the good weather than travelling and exploring new places? Here are a few wonderful holiday destinations to take into consideration.

Greenland

This country may not be your first thought when it comes to travelling, but Greenland is absolutely beautiful. You can sail the seas, watch the whales swim and visit the grand icebergs, or go on dog sledding tours. Or, if you’re a lover of nature and history, you can go hiking up to the Norse ruins. You can also visit the old Inuit settlements, which are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you are a fan of museums, there are plenty of them to check out in Greenland, such as the Narsarsuaq Museum, with displays about the Vikings.

Mexico

Another country with a very rich history is Mexico. Once the land of the Aztecs and Mayans, their legends live on to this day. They have been the inspiration for many works of art, from painting, to music, to even online games like the Book of Aztec slot. You can experience their cultures by visiting locations such as the famous Chichen Itza. Speaking of music and art, if you visit in March, you may catch a glimpse of the opulent Guadalajara International Film Festival. Or you can relax with a cocktail in Cancún, or Acapulco. There is something for everyone in Mexico.

Japan

You have got to visit Japan at least once in your life. It is a wonderful mix of ancient history and culture, as well as sci-fi-worthy technology. Among the famous tourist destinations that include Mount Fuji and Tokyo Tower, there are many other beautiful places to visit. Himeji Castle, Osaka Castle and the Imperial Palace are gorgeous and full of history, dating back centuries. If you prefer urban tourism, Japan has many options for you as well. While visiting Tokyo, don’t forget to check out Harajuku, Roppongi and Tsukiji Market. You can also book guided tours for your trip, online.

If you are looking to explore their vast history and culture, head over to Museo del Prado, Museo Reina Sofia or the Royal Palace of Madrid. If you’re a party animal, Madrid, Ibiza and Mallorca are for you. Don’t forget all the colorful festivals, all year round. During the summer you can attend the Bonfires of Saint Juan, the Battle of Wine and La Tomatina. Spain is also great for skiing in the winter.

Conclusion

We could not fit every single one of them in this article, but here are some honorary mentions: Morocco, Croatia, Cuba and India. Travelling is so exciting, especially when you visit a country you never took step in before. There are so many beautiful places and so many beautiful cultures!
