Ohio, California governors place friendly wager ahead of Super Bowl

well, governor, we’re gonna start with you, you’ve had so much fun with this Super Bowl renaming parks bir Park is now borough. I know that Ickey Woods is now the name of a park in our viewing area. Houston Woods. You’ve had so much fun. This is really a lot of great things. Let me, let me do that one more time. You’ve had so much fun with these renaming parks. Borough Park is now Borough Park. Houston Woods is now Ickey Woods. And then there’s one for Evan Mcpherson too. Right, Well, absolutely. You gotta get Mcpherson in their, uh, this guy’s got nerves of steel man. Imagine walking in, just game’s on the line. You just do it time after time. But the whole team has been, you know, this is really a special, a special team. And when you, when you read the, you know, sports writers and you guys will report, uh, you know, this is a team that is really together, It’s a special team because no one thought that, you know, this was gonna happen. And if you look at the last few games, you know, 18 points down, you know, what are the odds that you’re going to win that game? And then defense held in the second half unbelievably and burrows just takes it down the field. This is for both of you, your, Ohio’s first family, you always talk about this in your news conferences. It’s not just sports, it’s not just a football game because it’s something that brings families together. It’s something that galvanizes states and communities. It’s something that friends get together and say, where were you when? So starting with you Mr Governor thoughts on that. Well, it does go from generation to generation. Uh, you know, we’re having tomorrow, we’re having a number of Dwyane family members, Children and grandchildren flying out to see this. But you know, I think back sporting events that I saw my dad think back of sporting events I’ve taken my kids to, Um, it does, it brings families together and you know, we haven’t had anything quite like this. I don’t know, I’m thinking back in 1990 reds, uh, you know, which was again a phenomenal, phenomenal team. They started out and they never looked back and they just went, but people really didn’t think that it was going to happen in 1990 and then back 75 76 with the big red machine. So, you know, this has to compare with that really. mrs dewine. Any special recipes for the Bengals heading into the Super Bowl? Actually. I did, I make a buckeye brownie that I started passing out during the, you know, all the shots and everything. So I changed a little bit and the center of it is now orange and it has chocolate stripes on it. So I have some for you. Thank you so much. What do you think about the current game? The rams a great quarterback. He’s been around for 13 years, he still hasn’t won the big one, but we’ve got joe cool. We do, we do. And uh, you know, it’s the guys just, it’s amazing. It takes that team right down the field and you know, but it’s the whole team really. Burrows is just an amazing athlete, an amazing person. Uh, you know, I’m just so impressed by what he’s done, remembers where he’s from, Athens County Appalachia, Heisman Trophy, what’s he? You know, he gets up there and who remembers anything, anybody the Heisman Trophy says, but you know, you remember what he said, So he’s just, he’s a special guy to, we’ve been there all week and they’re hanging banners and they’re celebrating and ringing bells. It’s incredible what’s going on there as you stand next to your husband, Mrs Dewine. We’ve been through a lot the last couple of years, Covid, modern day civil rights movement, a lot of serious stuff, isn’t it fun whether you’re a democrat or Republican and of course the mayor of Cincinnati, who’s the opposite party, who’s going to be in there with you in that room. It doesn’t seem to matter during times like this. No, it doesn’t matter. And um, actually, I met mrs Brown as we were coming in today and she, it’s just so much fun to see people happy everywhere everywhere you go. People are happy, not just in the organization, but in Ohio everywhere in, Ohio and around. So, um, I think that’s what’s so much fun. We’re bringing our kids because we really haven’t got to do a lot of things with everybody. This is it when you see the business is filled with Bengals fans and you hear that store’s sales are up 500 and 400 and 600%. How does that make you feel well? It’s great. Look, it’s just everybody does feel good about this. This is just a very, very positive thing. It’s a special special team, a special time. You know, if you look at the team you think, look, they could go for, you know, 10, 15 years. I mean who knows? It’s a young team basically. But we also know that these moments are rare and just in life they’re rare. It’s a special time final thing. Can I get you guys to do a collective who day for me? Ready? 123, Okay, we gotta do one more, come on more energy Ready. 123
