The second batch of free distribution of masks in El Campello will begin next Monday, April 12, and will continue in different parts of the city until Saturday 24 of the same month. Thousands of these individual protection units will be delivered to citizens under the same conditions as on the previous occasion, and it will be enough to prove residence in the municipality to receive three surgical masks per person.
As happened last February, it will be the Civil Protection volunteers who are in charge of delivering the masks to the neighbors. According to the device designed by Mayor Juanjo Berenguer and the Councilor for Public Health, Rafa Galvañ (PP), this security body will attend to the delivery tents, which will be installed for several consecutive days, according to a predetermined calendar, in the northern area, Muchavista and the central area.
It has been arranged to expand to 10 the delivery points from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (three in the north area, another as many in Muchavista and four in the downtown area), in addition to the Civil Protection headquarters in Plaza Constitución, where the distribution will be in the afternoons, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The only requirement that citizens are required to provide is their DNI to verify their residence in El Campello, and citizen collaboration is requested to go to the distribution tables installed in their area of residence.
In the same way, a telephone service is still operational to attend to requests for masks from people with reduced mobility, to whom it will be distributed at home. It is the number 672 213 446.
Councilor Rafa Galvañ announces that starting on the 26th, daily and in the morning and afternoon, Civil Protection volunteers will distribute FFP2-type masks to businesses and hospitality establishments, at the rate of one copy per worker.
While this second distribution is being finalized, the Department of Public Health has already activated the administrative process to acquire, by minor contract, tens of thousands of washable masks, which will be those that will be distributed to the population, shops, schools and institutes in future deliveries.
