Flood watches were in effect for much of the Northeast on Monday, as life-threatening flash flooding was reported in the Rhode Island cities of Providence and Cranston, according to the National Weather Service. While there had been no reports of injuries in the area, a number of roads were closed by Monday afternoon, including a section of Interstate 95, and Route 10 — one of the main arteries into and out of Providence. A 30-year-old man has been injured on the road between Mérida and Valverde de Mérida. The traffic accident consisted of a road exit recorded around 7:58 p.m. on Monday. After receiving the notice on 112 Extremadura, firefighters from the Cepei of the Diputación de Badajoz del Parque de Mérida, a Civil Guard patrol and a basic life support ambulance from the Extremadura Health Service have moved to the scene.
