This week, free N-95 masks began to be delivered in several chains. Below we share the places where you can get them or where you can get them in the coming days.
Kroger
According to a spokesman for Kroger, masks should be available in stores with pharmacies this weekend. More than 2,200 Kroger stores will serve as distribution points.
“As part of the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program, Kroger Health is proud to be part of the largest deployment of personal protective equipment in US history and to continue our partnership with the Biden Administration and the Department of Health and Human Services. I encourage everyone to take advantage of the free non-surgical N95 masks and make an appointment today to get vaccinated or boosted,” said Marc Watkins, Kroger chief medical officer.
Walgreens
Free masks at Walgreens branches will be available at select locations starting today, Friday, January 28, a spokesman said, according to Today.
Mask availability will continue in the coming days and weeks, reaching more stores in more states. Participating stores will have signs indicating the availability of face coverings.
Walmart
Walmart said the free masks will be available late next week at select Walmart and Sam’s Club stores..
“Since the start of the pandemic, we have worked to meet the needs of our communities and help keep them safe and healthy by establishing COVID testing sites, administering tens of millions of vaccines and boosters, and dispensing authorized COVID-19 oral antiviral medications. . We are proud to continue serving our customers, members and associates now through the distribution of N95 masks as part of the US Federal Retail Pharmacy Program,” Walmart said in a statement.
CVS Health
The pharmacy chain said it began offering free N95 masks at CVS Pharmacy stores and pharmacies inside Target and Schnucks beginning Thursday, Jan. 27.
“Masks are limited to three per person, while supplies last, and signs will be posted to indicate the availability of N95 masks,” the company said in a statement.
Rite Aid
The company said it anticipates free N95 masks will be available in some stores later this week, with all stores receiving them by early February.
