Playoff FanDuel Picks: NFL DFS lineup tips for Bengals-Chiefs AFC Championship single-game tournaments

The second round of the NFL playoffs was one of the best football weekends in recent memory, and we can only hope the NFC and AFC championship games match that level of excitement. DFS players in single-game tournaments are arguably more excited about the AFC clash between the Bengals and Chiefs with stars like Patrick Mahomes, Ja’Marr Chase, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and Joe Burrow available. Our FanDuel lineup balances the two squads and includes both quarterbacks, but with stars and value sleepers aplenty, you can choose a few ways.

Here are the key scoring adjustments for FanDuel single game contests: The point total for the “MVP” is multiplied by 1.5, but does not cost additional money like the “Captain” in DraftKings Showdown contests. FanDuel’s default score is half point PPR Y Four Point Passing TD, and there are no bonuses for 100/300 yard games like in DraftKings.

FanDuel Single Game DFS Picks: Bengals vs. Chiefs AFC Championship

Budget of $50,000, at least one player from each team is needed.

MVP: (1.5x points): QB Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs ($17,500)

This is so complicated that it might actually be smarter to ditch Mahomes (at least as an “MVP”) and go with someone else if you really want to win your single game tournament. But if Mahomes goes out the way he has the past two weeks (782 passing yards, 98 rushing yards, nine total TDs), he might not get paid at all. Sure, we could have another Gabriel Davis situation where a random Bengals player has a big game and pays out on this slot, but we’ll take the chalk here and hopefully set ourselves apart elsewhere.

FLEX: QB Joe Burrow, Bengals ($16,000)

Burrow has just as many upsides as Mahomes (and a similar matchup on paper), so you could easily name him your “MVP.” With Kansas City banged up in the secondary, Burrow could match his yardage total from last week (348 yards) with multiple touchdowns. He likely won’t match his numbers from Cincinnati’s Week 17 matchup with Kansas City (446 yards, four TDs), but with all the shooting he’ll likely have to throw to keep up with Mahomes, Burrow is another pick worth considering. pain. whiteboard.

FLEX: RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Chiefs ($9,500)

Edwards-Helaire played second fiddle to Jerick McKinnon last week, but he was the more dynamic rusher, racking up 60 yards on just nine carries. We hope more players pick McKinnon and CEH is a sneaky pick in his second game after a sore shoulder. Edwards-Helaire may never be the elite wide receiver many thought he would be out of college, but he has advantages as a tough, elusive running back in a high-power offense. Here’s hoping for a TD

FLEX: WR Tyler Boyd, Bengals ($9,000)

After scoring in four straight games, Boyd was shut down last week, catching just two of three targets for 17 yards. However, if last week was any indication, the Chiefs could have a problem with secondary receivers, and Boyd is the kind of smart road runner who could really make them pay. Expect more than five goals and several opportunities to score and/or make a big play.

FLEX: WR Mecole Hardman, Chiefs ($8,000)

Hardman showed his ability to play big last week, catching a key 26-yard pass and rushing for a 25-yard touchdown. Normally, we like to avoid the Chiefs’ secondary receivers who scored the week before, but considering Hardman only received one target, we think he could have a bigger game this week. He sparked the Bengals with a 53-yard reception in Week 17, and he’s the type of player who can score from anywhere on the field. With the way the Chiefs use it, we’re willing to give it a shot at FanDuel’s PPR mid-rating.
