Playoff FanDuel Picks: NFL DFS Lineup Tips for Single Game 49ers-Cowboys Wild Card Tournaments

The 49ers and Cowboys meet in the playoffs for the first time since Troy Aikman and Steve Young went head-to-head, and while many soccer fans are raving about the nostalgia for a classic showdown, we’re ready to give DFS a try. tournaments with our single-game FanDuel lineup. We’re going against the grain by picking a “WR3” running back and a “backup,” and combining some superstar catchers to try and make some noise at wild-card GPP tournaments.

Here are the key scoring adjustments for single-game FanDuel contests: Total points for “MVP” are multiplied by 1.5, but it does not cost additional money as “Captain” in DraftKings Showdown contests. The default FanDuel score is Semicircular PPR Y Four-point pass TD, and there are no bonuses for 100/300 yard games like in DraftKings.

FanDuel Single Game DFS Picks: 49ers vs. Cowboys

$ 50,000 budget, at least one player from each team is needed.

MVP: (1.5x points): WR Deebo Samuel, 49ers ($ 15,000)

We love Samuel at our MVP spot because we avoided the QB and RB chalk even though Samuel operates as a running back and wide receiver (and evidently as a quarterback as in Week 18). You can have an explosive DFS day with just runs or just catches, but you’ll get a healthy mix of both. He has scored more than 20 FD points seven times this year, and since Dallas has allowed the 12th most yards per play (5.5), he will have plenty of opportunities for home runs.

FLEXIBLE: WR CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys ($ 12,000)

Lamb has been terribly quiet for the last five games this season, so there’s a chance DFS players could stay away from him here, especially as Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson have produced at a higher rate during that span. . Ultimately, Lamb has the highest advantage in virtually all scoring formats, and the 49ers are a team in the bottom 10 in FD points allowed to WR.

FLEXIBLE: QB Jimmy Garoppolo, 49ers ($ 14,500)

Garoppolo is working with one of the league’s elite skill groups, and it will be significantly less chalky than Dak Prescott, so we’re playing him here. The Cowboys were the third strongest defense against fantasy RBs in the half PPR score, so if the Niners’ running game is limited and Jimmy G can avoid turnovers, the touchdown advantage is strong here. You will no doubt want to prove yourself in what could be your last game as a 49er.

FLEXIBLE: WR Jauan Jennings, 49ers ($ 8,000)

You can accuse us of chasing Jennings’ 24.4-point performance from last week, but there’s more to it than that. While Samuel has been more of a running back, Jennings has been involved in the passing game. He drew at least five goals in four of his last five games and has posted at least 44 percent instant participation in eight of his last nine games. He’s a real factor in this offense and his 6-3, 220-pound frame makes him a perfect choice for the red zone.

FLEXIBLE: RB Tony Pollard, Cowboys ($ 10,000)

Ezekiel Elliott is unpredictable at this point in his career, and Pollard has played about 40 percent of the Cowboys running back plays for most of the season. Pollard is the most explosive athlete and has real home run potential at a fair price for DFS. Jennings and Pollard should give us the right formula to avoid having the same lineup as a lot of people with our picks of Samuel and Lamb.
