Playoff FanDuel Picks: NFL DFS Lineup Tips for Steelers-Chiefs Wild Card Single Game Tournaments

Sunday’s final wild card games feature the Steelers and Chiefs in what could be Ben Roethlisberger’s last game in the NFL, and we called in two of his receivers to tag along with a healthy dose of chalk on the Kansas side. City. Our single-game FanDuel lineup has risk of injury, a boom or bust, and a rookie TE that will hopefully give us enough differentiation for DFS tournaments.

Here are the key scoring adjustments for single-game FanDuel contests: Total points for “MVP” are multiplied by 1.5, but it does not cost additional money as “Captain” in DraftKings Showdown contests. The default FanDuel score is Semicircular PPR Y Four-point pass TD, and there are no bonuses for 100/300 yard games like in DraftKings.

FanDuel Single Game DFS Picks: Steelers vs. Chiefs

$ 50,000 budget, at least one player from each team is needed.

MVP: (1.5x points): WR Tyreek Hill, Chiefs ($ 13,500)

Hill has averaged fewer than 10 FD points per game in his last three contests (came out early in Week 18) and is dealing with a heel injury. This means that we can do one of two things: fade it or duplicate it. We’re going to be aggressive with him at our MVP spot, injury concerns should keep much of the field away. Pittsburgh is strong against the TE but generous against the WR, so we’re relying on a classic Hill blast to get the Chiefs off to a start in the playoffs. .

FLEXIBILITY: TE Pat Freiermuth, Steelers ($ 8,500)

Freiermuth was out in the first meeting against Kansas City with a concussion, and Big Ben fuels him with a lot of volume. Freiermuth is tied for first among tight ends in red zone goals (20), and whether he scores in trash time or early in the game, those fantasy points count the same way.

FLEX: QB Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs ($ 17,500)

Mahomes is the most chalky play possible, but we’re rolling with him here. We’re running a classic QB-WR-WR stack here and avoiding Travis Kelce, so hopefully we can include Mahomes while we get Some differentiation.

FLEXIBLE: WR Diontae Johnson, Steelers ($ 12,500)

Johnson drew 10 or more goals in 12 games this season, and while FanDuel is not a complete PPR scorer, he will have plenty of opportunities to produce. The Steelers are already a pass-first offense, and with Kansas City on the other side of the ball, they expect Big Ben to throw more than 50 passes in an effort to keep his career alive for another week. Johnson has also scored seven touchdowns this year, so it’s not like he’s purely a PPR machine.

FLEX: WR Byron Pringle, Chiefs ($ 8,000)

The last time these teams met, Pringle scored 22.5 FD points on a day of two touchdowns and 75 yards. Travis Kelce was out of action on the reserve / COVID roster so it certainly helped, but we’ll take Pringle as a DFS dart throw as he obviously presents a matchup problem for the Steelers. Especially if the Chiefs get a big lead, expect Pringle to get a lot of plays in an effort to rest Hill (after Hill has scored a lot of points, of course). Garbage time could work to the benefit of both teams in DFS.
