For a round trip of 1,270 kilometers, the followers traveled in a vehicle without air conditioning and which, in addition, was stranded for two hours in the middle of the highway after one of the tires burst when the expedition was 100 kilometers from Elda on the way out. Only the intervention of the Civil Guard, requested by the fans themselves due to the immobility of the company that owns the transport, accelerated the arrival of technical assistance on the road. Finally, the displaced were able to arrive on time for the game.

In strictly sports, the coach of Cacereño, Julio Cobos, regretted that his team did not measure up at the key moment of the season, although the coach showed his pride in the work carried out by the squad throughout the campaign: «In the critical moment we have not been well. We haven’t been a very reliable team defensively, especially in the final stretch of the season, but this team has roused the fans and made them enjoy themselves throughout the year.
