The minimum temperatures will remain unchanged and the maximum temperatures will rise

The autonomous community of Extremadura will register this Thursday, March 24, cloudy skies or covered with rain and showers, which may be locally persistent in some areas.

The minimum temperatures will remain unchanged and the maximum temperatures will rise, ranging between 11 and 18 degrees in the province of Badajoz and 9 and 17 degrees in that of Cáceres.

The snow level will be above 1,800 or 2,000 meters and haze and some precipitation accompanied by mud, especially in the mountains, are not ruled out.

The winds will blow from the east, with strong gusts in the north of Cáceres, according to the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

Rest of Spain

In the rest of the country, six communities and the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla will have risk warnings (yellow) or important risk (orange) activated this Thursday due to heavy rainfall, storms, winds or coastal phenomena, as reported by the State Agency of Meteorology (AEMET).

Cádiz and Málaga will be the most affected provinces and will have an orange warning for rains that can accumulate up to 80 liters per square meter in 12 hours. It will also have an orange warning for Almería winds, where maximum gusts of 90 kilometers per hour can blow.

The risk of rain will remain active in Seville, Ceuta, Castellón, Valencia, Tarragona and Teruel. The latter, in addition, will have a yellow warning for snowfall, since about 10 centimeters of snow may accumulate throughout the day. The risk due to storms will be limited to Huelva, Cádiz and Ceuta.

The wind will be another adverse phenomenon that will affect Albacete, Almería, Jaén, Granada and Málaga with gusts of about 70 kilometers per hour. As for coastal phenomena, the warning, yellow, will be active this Thursday in Melilla, Malaga, Granada, Almería, Murcia and Tarragona.

The day will be marked by locally strong and persistent rainfall in the extreme south of Catalonia, Maestrazgo, the Valencian Community, Murcia, Mediterranean Andalusia and Ceuta and intervals of strong wind in the Mediterranean area and very strong gusts in the southeast mountains.

The situation is due to the Atlantic storm that will continue to be located in the vicinity of the peninsular southwest, and at the same time a humid flow from the east will persist in the Mediterranean area.

This will lead to cloudy skies or covered with rain and showers almost generalized in the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands. The most attempted and abundant will occur in the center and in the southeastern third of the Peninsula and could be locally strong or persistent in the extreme south of Catalonia, Maestrazgo Teruel, the Valencian Community, Murcia, Mediterranean Andalusia and Ceuta. Likewise, they will also have some persistence in Gredos.

In the rest of the Peninsula and in the Balearic Islands, rainfall will be weaker, scattered and occasional and will be unlikely in Galicia, Cantabrian, western Pyrenees, Ampurdán and Menorca.

As for the Canary Islands, this Thursday it will be cloudy or with cloudy intervals and with probable light rains with an occasional shower on islands with greater relief.
