Roborock Q7 Max+: a promising mid-range robot vacuum cleaner with LiDAR and self-emptying

The mid-range of robot vacuum cleaners has a new member. Roborock has announced the launch in Spain of the Q7 Max +the first model of its new Q series. It is a device that is below its older brother, the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, but inherits some features from it such as LiDAR navigation and system control through the mobile app.

The Roborock Q7 Max + is presented with a clear proposal: vacuuming and mopping simultaneously to offer an improved level of cleanliness. In addition, it comes with an automatic emptying base that promises to make the task of cleaning the house even lighter. Let’s start with one of the most important aspects of any robot vacuum: suction capacity. The Roborock Q7 Max+ is capable of working at 4,200 pascals. It is a midpoint in relation to the 1,500 Pa that we find in the cheapest models and the 10,000 of the most generous, such as the Conga 6090.

According to Roborock, that 4,200 Pa, combined with a “hair tangle resistant” rubber brush, is enough to clean dirt that accumulates on different surfaces, including floor crevices and carpets. It also has the ability to scrub, thanks to a water tank that offers 30 different levels of depression.

Other characteristics of the robot vacuum cleaner are the intelligent navigation system with LiDAR sensorsmulti-floor mapping, Wi-Fi connectivity, the ability to create routines from the mobile app, and to set exclusion zones and virtual walls for more precise cleaning.

The robot can also identify danger zones. This is a useful function that helps to take care of the device, for example, by preventing it from falling down the steps. As for the battery, the Roborock Q7 Max+ comes with a capacity of 5,200 mAh. The promise is 3 hours of cleaning on a single charge or a maximum suction area of ​​300 m².

Finally, we find the feature that differentiates the Q7 Max + from the Q7 Max. We are talking about your self-emptying station. With this accessory included the robot automatically empties into a 2.5L dust bag after each routine. The bags are changed in a few seconds, but it is a task that is carried out every seven weeks.
