Sánchez and Draghi will celebrate a ‘mini-summit’ in Barcelona

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and his Italian counterpart, Mario Draghi, will speak on the first day of the 18th edition of the Spain-Italy Dialogue Forum to be held in Barcelona on June 18 and 19, and which will serve to debate the Next Generation funds and the future of Europe.

Friday day

During the first day there will be a debate on the Next Generation and the energy transition with the Italian Minister of Ecological Transition, Roberto Cingolai.

Cingolai will be accompanied by the Secretary of State for Energy, Sara Aegesen; the president of Aena, Maurici Lucena; the CEO of Enel, Francesco Starace, and the CEO of Grimaldi Lines Spain, Massimo Massarotti.

The second panel of the day will be headed by the Second Vice President of the Government, Nadia Calviño, together with the Italian Minister of Technological Innovation and Digital Transition, Vittorio Colao.

It will have the intervention, among others, of the president of Banco Mediolanum, Carles Tusquets, and the CEO of Cellnex, Tobías Martínez.

Saturday day

The second day of the meeting will focus on European funds and the future of cities and will feature the participation of the Vice President of the European Commission and High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Common Security Policy, Josep Borrell; the President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, and the President of the Constitutional Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, Antonio Tajani.

Personalities will also participate such as the first deputy mayor of the Barcelona City Council, Jaume Collboni, and the councilor for Urbanism, Ecology and Agriculture of the Milan City Council, Pierfrancesco Maran.

The closing will be the responsibility of the Forum coordinators, Josep Antoni Duran i Lleida and Enrico Letta; the ambassadors of Spain in Italy, Alfonso Dastis, and of Italy in Spain, Riccardo Guariglia, and the ministers of Foreign Affairs of Spain, Arancha González Laya, and from Italy, Luigi di Maio.

Expand the unity of Europe
