In the midst of investigations into the whereabouts of Brian Laundrie, North Port, Florida police invaded the neighborhood surrounding the suspect’s parents’ home after it was reported a call to 911, where they reported alleged shots.

Agents surrounded Laundrie’s home just before 7:00 p.m. Friday night. An officer entered and others knocked on neighbors’ doors after receiving the anonymous call; however, they found no evidence of possible shots.

“Tonight, around 6:45 p.m., the North Port Police Department received a report of shots being fired in the area of Brian Laundrie’s home from an unknown number, ”revealed North Port Police spokesman Josh Taylor in statements to Fox News.

He added that during the search, no injuries were reported up to that moment, nor evidence of shots fired in the area. Neither did the media that gathered outside the house.

Evan Axelbank, a Fox ally reporter, wrote on his Twitter account that reporters at the scene speculated that it was an alleged fake call upon seeing the swift action of the officers during their inspection.

Meanwhile, Laundrie’s whereabouts remain unknown. The Denver FBI reported that the Wyoming District Court had issued a federal arrest warrant for the 23-year-old suspect on Wednesday for his connection to the death of Gabby Petito.

In addition, through a Grand Jury indictment, they indicated that Laundrie had used a debit card and PIN number for two bank accounts with the intention of spending up to $ 1,000 between August 30 and September 1 without authorization, so they presume that he did it with the intention of defrauding, he reviewed WFLA, a medium attached to NBC.

Following this apparent misunderstanding, the search for Laundrie resumed this Saturday morning at the Carlton Reserve, a 25,000-acre nature preserve where police officers believe he escaped last week.

Laundrie left her home in North Port September 14, when he had indicated to his parents that he would go to Carlton Reserve, in Sarasota County. Since that day there have been no traces of his whereabouts, and three days later, his parents had reported him missing.

Last Tuesday the death of Gabby Petito was confirmed with an initial presumption of homicide. Investigations into the exact causes of his death are still under investigation.
