There are few reactions from the ‘celebrities, but the Prosecutor’s Office was already on the trail since 2014 for a complaint by Rosa Benito’s son-in-law

The one known as ‘Operation Deluxe’ has put on the table an alleged espionage plot against personalities of the heart, headed by the directors of the ‘Sálvame’ program, with the collaboration of the paparazzi Gustavo González and a police friend of his. A real earthquake that, however, is having few reactions. At the moment, none of those involved speaks beyond the statement issued by La Fábrica de la Tele (producer of the space) in which they disassociate themselves from any type of criminal action.

There is talk that the espionage would have affected more than a hundred people (about twenty, according to the producer), including the collaborators themselves. However, very few proper names have transpired. Just Omar Montes, Rosa Benito or Belén Esteban. But looking back, there have been other notorious cases that would add injured parties to the list, such as Andrés Fernández, husband of Chayo Mohedano, and businessman José María Gil Silgado.

The case of Andrés Fernández dates back to 2014, when the Telecinco afternoon program published the photo of the police file of the son-in-law of Rosa Benito, a regular contributor to the space. After months being the focus of attention for her separation from Amador Mohedano and monopolizing hours of television for her confrontations with Rocío Jurado’s brother, the display of this image was the turning point for the end of the relationship between the family and La TV Factory. At that time, it also meant the departure of Chayo Mohedano and Amador from other Mediaset programs.

In this procedure, the Madrid Prosecutor’s Office has already appeared against five of the directors for revealing secrets: David Valldeperas, Raúl Prieto (now in ‘Viva la vida’), Pilar Cerisuelo, Sandra Fernández and Jesús Ángel Acha. It is an independent process that has now jumped to the media, but in which the same ‘modus operandi’ seems to be followed, through the alleged illegal obtaining of a non-public document.

The family has also been affected by ‘Operation Deluxe’. And it is that Rosa Benito revealed through her Twitter account last February that the anti-corruption police had come to her house even though she was not there, so she provided her contact information to go testify when she was required. And so it has happened. The collaborator of ‘It’s already noon’ published on her social networks on March 1 that she had gone “to see what they have of mine.” “The truth is that I have been dislocated from so much that they have taught me, I have seen and heard (my little)”, she specified. “Can you really sleep peacefully with everything there is? My mother used to say, don’t be happy about anyone’s evil… But I am happy about this investigation. I know there is a long way to go, but in life everything comes », she added.

The germ of Operation Deluxe ‘is in another exclusive of the ‘Sálvame’ program from April 2018, when its cameras captured the arrest of businessman José María Gil Silgado, who was pending a search and capture order. An order that the interested party did not even know about and of which he was informed by Gustavo González. The paparazzi showed off their live exclusive, which put the police on guard who had already detected the alleged illegal consultation of documents that had to do with celebrities for which an express justification is needed.

That same year, in October, the journalist was arrested in the framework of the operation that now also targets the directors of the program and the production company itself, founded by Adrián Madrid and Óscar Cornejo. Then, his co-worker from his time on Antena 3, María Patiño, pointed out in some statements that “it is one thing to have sources and another to reveal secrets.”

With the new data from the investigation, suspicions are spreading. Gustavo González was the photographer who went to the Civil Guard barracks after Antonio David and Rocío Flores denounced Rocío Carrasco after the serious altercation that definitively ended the relationship between mother and daughter. Pedro Carrasco’s daughter has always maintained that it must have been her father who called the paparazzi convinced that she would be detained from the barracks, an extreme that Antonio David has always denied. The latest turn of events is a breath of fresh air for the man from Malaga who was fired from the program a year ago.
