The SN8 explosion

The Starship ship SN9 was unable to achieve its goal of descending in a controlled manner.

The second attempt to launch the Starship vehicle, from SpaceX, had the same result as the first: an explosion.

The unmanned ship, called SN9, reached an altitude of 10 km and then started a maneuver scheduled controlled descent a short distance from where it had taken off, on the coast of the state of Texas.

But something went wrong and it was destroyed.

The same maneuver was put to the test last month with the model SN8, which ended up impacting on the ground and exploding unexpectedly.
