The Government has ready a new shipment of weapons to Ukraine in support of its Armed Forces in the face of the Russian invasion, which is already half a year old. The Ministry of Defense has reported this Wednesday that it has armored vehicles, artillery and a fully operational missile system that it is already preparing for delivery.
The announcement by the department led by Margarita Robles coincides with Ukraine’s Independence Day, and after its ambassador to Spain, Serhii Pohoreltsev, stated this morning that they were not “satisfied” with the material supplied by our country to date and They hadn’t received anything for three months.
In response to the diplomat, from Defense they consider that in these six months our country has not stopped sending material for the legitimate defense of the Ukrainian people, although for strict security reasons, and others that affect other countries, “the details”. “Spain has always acted and will continue to do so in coordination with the countries of the Atlantic Alliance, the EU and with the Donor Group, made up of 45 countries,” says a note released by the ministry.

The transport of the ammunition will be carried out with the support of an “allied country” given “the weight and characteristics of large-caliber ammunition.”
In addition, the acquisition and delivery of 1,000 tons of diesel oil has been authorized for an approximate amount of 2.5 million euros. Similarly, after the joint inspection by Ukrainian military representatives and the Army, a set of 20 TOA APC M-113 armored vehicles “in good working order” has already been made available for personnel transport.

The shipment will be made in September and is made up of some 30,000 cold campaign uniforms, 15,600 jackets, 15,000 outdoor suits and several thousand additional clothing and coat items.
