Synology has announced the release of the RT6600ax, a high-speed, network protection-oriented router designed to bring fast and secure connectivity to homes and offices. Thanks to the new Synology Router Manager (SRM) 1.3 operating system, the RT6600ax is fully equipped to meet the challenges presented by modern network environments, including the massive increase in connected devices and the consequent need to protect users against growing security threats.

“Our customers have been demanding an upgrade to our router range for a long time, but we wanted to offer them the best solution, both hardware and software, to ensure fast and secure connectivity,” explains Victor Wang, General Manager of Synology in South China. Europe. “The RT6600ax and the SRM upgrade form a tandem ready to face any challenge, allowing the configuration of multiple networks, guaranteeing secure access for all users and facilitating VPN connections.”

Engineered for performance and stability

The RT6600ax is Synology’s first Wi-Fi 6 certified router. This provides a more reliable Wi-Fi connection, thanks to improvements in data encryption, beamforming, scheduling, and signal isolation. Using the 2.5 GbE port configurable for WAN or LAN deployment, users can take advantage of multi-gigabit Internet connections. They can also configure high-performance devices, such as a NAS, as well as high-speed wireless backhaul. Fast connection speeds and snappy operation are ensured by a 1.8 GHz quad-core processor, even when multiple devices are connected and all features are activated.
