Although the state of Tennessee is already a destination known for its great southern hospitality, the new program it is launching, called Tennessee on Me, will undoubtedly attract a greater number of people, and it promises to pay for the trip of thousands of people.
During the holiday weekend, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced the state’s plans to purchase airline tickets for up to 10,000 people who plan to stay in several of the largest cities in the state.
“The state is buying all these airline tickets and giving them away to anyone who books two nights in a hotel room to come to Tennessee, so it’s Tennessee on Me (Tennessee on my own),” Lee said in a video posted on social media. social networks where he appears alongside country music star Brad Paisley.
Tennessee is known around the world for its music, scenic beauty & iconic attractions, and I’m excited to team up with @BradPaisley to promote @TNVacation. 10k airline vouchers are up for grabs when travelers book a trip to Tennessee. Learn more at https://t.co/gTUps7pffx. https://t.co/Gfdw5dG8tT

To qualify for a paid flight, you must make reservations through the Visit Music City website with travel dates from July 11 to December 30, 2021. Your flight must also land in one of the following cities: Chattanooga, Knoxville, Memphis, or Nashville, and it must be with a participating airline, be it American, Delta, or Southwest.
While in town, those interested in paying for the flight should also book a stay at a participating hotel. Fortunately, there are more than 60 hotels to choose from within the program. However, the hotel stay must include a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday night.
You must take into account that travel packages (plane and hotel) must be paid in full, and the flight payment coupon is valid for one package, not per person, which means that if you travel with a family of four in a package, you will only receive one flight payment.
Amanda Murphy, a spokeswoman for the state tourism department, said the goal of the program is to boost the number of visitors to the state and potentially help stimulate travel.
“While much of the state is experiencing higher levels of hotel occupancy or pre-pandemic, challenges persist in our large cities that are still feeling the loss of conventions, business and international travel,” Murphy said.
Offer is valid for the duration of payments for any stay before September 15. You can book your travel package here.
