Republican Governor of Texas Greg Abbott, yesterday announced plans for build a wall along your state’s border with Mexico.

Earlier this month, Abbott issued a disaster declaration for 34 counties along or near the Texas-Mexico border, stating that the “open border policies (of President Joe) Biden have paved the way for Dangerous gangs and cartels, human and drug traffickers deadly like fentanyl in our communities ”.

Abbott made the new announcement yesterday during a press conference for the “Border Security Summit” in Del Rio, and said it would discuss the plan in more detail next week.

“We have to build a [muro] frontier. I was here talking to people in the Rio Grande Valley and the way they are being invaded is reprehensible “, confirmed Abbott on the show “The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News. “What the Biden administration has done is disastrous.”

President Biden, in his first month in office, stopped the construction of the border wall started by his predecessor Donald Trump. “The decision was questioned by many Republicans and criticism has grown louder as the number of illegal immigrants detained at the southern border reaches a 20-year high,” according to New York Post.

“President Trump had adequately secured our border. He had a ‘Stay in Mexico’ policy and started building the border wall and now all of a sudden all of that is gone and… it has led to a dramatic increase in the number of people crossing the border, ”Abbott said.

“But they are not only unaccompanied minors, it is the people who are causing great damages to the residents here in Del Río, as well as throughout the entire border, ”he insisted.

“The Biden administration has dropped any pretense of border security, any pretense of enforcing our immigration laws,” Abbott told presenter Laura Ingraham. “They don’t care about the border at all (…) They haven’t come here, they haven’t talked to us, they don’t want to do anything for us. They are fighting us every step of the way. “

Immigration was the key issue in the recent tour of Guatemala and Mexico by Vice President Kamala Harris, who insisted on discouraging illegal border crossing. “Do not come. Don’t come ”, he said after a meeting with the president of Guatemala, Alejandro Giammattei. “The United States will continue to enforce our laws and secure the borders … if they reach the border they will be sent back.”
