The Administrative Economic Jury resolves 350 claims in 2021



The Administrative Economic Jury of the Generalitat, dependent on the Ministry of Finance and Economic Model, has resolved a total of 350 claims in 2021, which represents 79.4% more than in 2020.

Specifically, up to the month of December, 95.63% (350) claims of the 366 that have been processed in court this year have been resolved (327 claims registered from entry in 2021 and 39 claims that were pending on date 1 January 2021).

As confirmed by this review body, the complaints registered have been mainly related to the sanitary fees (285, 77.9% of the total) followed by claims for actions of the Valencian Tax Agency (ATV) in the collection of non-tax public law income (27, 7.4%) and in the collection of legal income public of local administrations (22, 31 6%).

However, the jury has also registered claims related to the sanitation fee (21, 5.7%), with port fees (4, 1.1%) and with other fees.

The Minister of Finance and Economic Model, Vicent Soler, has underlined “the agility with which the review body is currently resolving the files, allowing that throughout the year it has more than fulfilled the functions assigned to it and has given way to files previously registered “and has appreciated the work of this body” that reduces litigation, facilitates the administrative claims of citizens and guarantees that their rights are fulfilled as soon as possible “.

Specifically, the jury is in charge, before resorting to judicial means and contentious-administrative, to collect the economic-administrative claims of the citizenship and the extraordinary resources of review of final administrative acts related to the taxes of the Generalitat; ATV collection actions regarding non-tax revenue from public law of the Generalitat, as well as regarding revenue from public law owned by local administrations assumed by delegation or agreement.

As Soler has pointed out, “since its creation in 2019, when it became an independent administrative body of the General Directorate of Taxes and Games, we have achieved reduce resolution times, to offer a higher technical quality of the resolutions “.
