The analysis of technology and video games that we liked the most in March

These are the devices that we liked the most this March, mobiles, tablets, games or laptops that have something special that has blown us away and has made us enjoy the review process a lot.

We are launching a new section! As you may have already noticed if you follow us regularly, at ComputerHoy we publish a lot of analysis every month.

You have all of them in the section to check out and we’re posting more and more on our YouTube channel, but while there are some great devices out there, that doesn’t mean we’ve had a ‘good’ time with them.

For this reason, from now on we are inaugurating a monthly section in which, on the last day of each month, We will tell you which are the devices with which we have had the best time. It can be because of the camera, the screen or for whatever reason. With that said… let’s get started!

Oppo Find X5 Pro

It is the latest top of the range of the Chinese company and the truth is that it is really ambitious, but if we have fallen in love for something, it is, without a doubt, because of the cameras.

It has two Sony IMX 766 sensors both for the wide angle and for the wide angle and that allows images with sharpness and texture in both angles, but also with a very good colorimetry.

It is accompanied by a 2x telephoto that is a tad short in this price range, but hey, in general we have been crazy about going out to take pictures with it because it defends itself great in all scenarios and has a very good color processing thanks to the MariSilicon chip.

Xiaomi 12 Pro

Here I think we can talk about a fairly balanced mobile and a very good example of how Xiaomi is going to deal with the premium range from now on.

Yes, it has risen in price to 1,100 euros, but we have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 inside, an LTPO display with up to 120 Hz frequency and a sound system that is spectacular.

To consume content, it is a mobile that I have loved, but it is also great for taking pictures with the main sensor. It is the 50-megapixel Sony 707 that, thanks to both the quality of the sensor and the processing, will allow you to capture what you want in any situation.

I’m already saying, we’ve been blown away, but Xiaomi, you have to add things like IP68 certification when you’re charging more than 1,000 euros for a mobile.

Razer Blade 17

But hey, we have not only analyzed phones and Razer gave us one of its latest laptops to be able to do a test.

It is a prototype unit of the Blade 17 in the configuration with the QHD screen at 240 Hz and the performance is a real blast.

Inside we have the latest from Intel, DDR5 memory, PCIe 4 SSD and the spectacular Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti. I’ve been playing games like Control or God of War to the max, both with more than 60 fps in 1,440p resolution and it can also be done without messing up with Cyberpunk 2077.

The speakers have surprised us, the build quality is very good and something that I really liked is the heatsink. In fact, here I have it with its three fans. Of course, prepare 4,300 euros, which is what this model costs.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra

And speaking of ambitious things, you can’t miss the appointment of the gadgets that have blown us away in March the TOP tablet from Samsung.

It is a tablet with a 14.6” screen with a resolution of 2,960 x 1,848 pixels. and with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It has an excellent sound and it might seem like the rod to consume content, but it is really more focused on a more professional use.

It has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, a front camera that follows you on video calls, and the front notch is weird on a tablet, but in the end you forget it’s there.

If you accompany it with a keyboard and a mouse, you will have a very good team to work with.

BOSE QC45

And something that always comes in handy is noise-canceling headphones. This month we have not analyzed as many as in previous months, but the Bose QC45 did fall into our hands.

They have little things to improve since the alert mode does not pause the music, we do not have several levels of active cancellation or the aptX codec, but we have extreme comfort and very good noise cancellation.

Seriously, it is one of those helmets that you can wear for hours because you will not notice them in your ears and it is the main reason why we liked this model a lot.

And watch out because, as you know, HobbyConsolas is our sister website more focused on video games and the most gaming things and they have also had a very, very busy March.

If you are a gamer you will be happy to know that Ghostwire has gone more good than bad and, although it has little things that could be improved, it is a breath of fresh air in the genre of first person shooters.

You are a guy who has to use his powers to advance through a Tokyo where all humans have vanished and where you will have to fight nightmarish monsters based on Japanese folklore and myths.

It’s fun, it looks great and you have it on both PC and PS5. Of course, in the Sony console you have the extra of Dualsense, which always contributes a little.

Tunic has also freaked them out. This is on PC and Xbox within Game Pass and it was a game that many of us had been waiting for years.

The combat may be a bit simple, but its strengths far outweigh its flaws and we have a fun, challenging game with great visual and audio art.

Wow, my partner Alberto Lloret has been blown away and has given it a 90.

And something that our Hobby mates have also tried is the Nacom MG-X Proan adapter that turns your Android phone into a game console to enjoy both the system’s native games and Game Pass, Stadia or GeForce Now.

It has the control scheme of the Xbox controllerit is very comfortable in the hand, the connection is via Bluetooth and it is compatible with mobile phones up to 6.7”.

It costs 100 euros and it is not cheap, but it is very ergonomic and its textured rubber together with the clamp-type fastening system secure the mobile quite well.
