The Board publishes the definitive census for the elections to the countryside

The Official Gazette of Extremadura (DOE) has published today the resolution that includes the definitive agrarian electoral census for the celebration of the electoral procedure for the determination of the representativeness of the professional agrarian organizations in Extremadura, as well as the agreement that provides for the publication of the list of polling stations and their location.

Both documents of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, Population and Territory, publicize, according to current regulations, the procedures for holding rural elections in the month of May.

According to the resolution, the definitive census is declared closed and a period of ten calendar days is granted from this Tuesday, March 22, so that natural and legal persons can consult the data that the definitive census contains about them, which is in all the town councils of the Community and, where appropriate, submit the appropriate claims.

Claims will be submitted, by natural persons using the model established in Annex I of the DOE, in the General Registry of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, Population and Territory or in the places provided for in article 7 of Decree 257/2009, which implements a unique Registration System.

As for legal entities, they will submit them electronically using the models established in Annexes II, III and IV, depending on the defects in the application. By way of example, they may be submitted through the general electronic registry of the Junta de Extremadura and also in the electronic registry of the General State Administration.

The Board has also published today the agreement of the Central Commission that provides for the publication of the list of polling stations and their location.

According to the Agrarian Law of Extremadura, at least one polling station will be established in each municipality, population center or group of these based on the census of the corresponding provincial demarcation with the collaboration of the Local Administrations.

The tables are constituted in the municipalities and population centers with a minimum of ten registered voters. If they do not reach said minimum number, the people of these populations will exercise the right to vote in the municipalities and population centers determined by the Central Commission in accordance with criteria of proximity and communication.

Likewise, the neighboring municipalities or population centers that do not reach said minimum required number, upon joint request addressed to the Commission, may be grouped if together they exceed fifteen voters, and it will be determined in which municipality the electoral table is located based on the same criteria already mentioned.

The publication of collects the relationship of the electoral tables and their location within the electoral procedure for the determination of the representativeness of the professional agrarian organizations, which are listed in annex I of the DOE (province of Badajoz) and in annex II (Caceres province).

Against the delimitation of the tables, a claim may be filed with the Central Commission within four calendar days from this Wednesday, March 23, and it must be resolved within five calendar days.

The indicated claims will be directed to the Commission, based in the Ministry of Agriculture, presenting themselves in the General Registry or in the places provided, according to the law, and it will necessarily be done through electronic means with the Public Administrations.
