The green entity will be obliged to release at least one player over 23 years of age to comply with regulatory standards

El Cacereño adds a new cash to his squad. The Verdiblanca entity made official this Sunday the hiring of the 25-year-old Madrid right winger Miguel Garci, who arrives from Coruxo.

Trained in the lower categories of Real Madrid, to the point of making his debut with Castilla, the new Cacereño player already knows what it means to defend the interests of an Extremaduran club, since in the 2020/21 season he landed in Second B with the Merida. In this same category he also wore the shirts of Navalcarnero, Unión Adarve and Sporting B. Last season he was an important man at Coruxo, with whom he played 27 games and scored two goals in the Second RFEF.

With the arrival of Miguel Garci there are now 21 Cacereño players who make up the first team squad, of which 17 are over 23 years of age. That is why, in order to comply with the regulatory rules and competition rules of the RFEF for this category, the Verdiblanca entity will be obliged to give an exit, since the maximum number of footballers in this condition is 16. Rubén and Javito , players with a contract and whose continuity has not been made official by Cacereño, the ballots are distributed to seek another destination.

The current scenario seems to have changed since last July, when the sports director of Cacereño, Francis Bordallo, denied in TODAY that at that time any exit was being negotiated with the players who had a valid contract.

Friendly

On the other hand, in strictly sports, the Cacereño continues to accumulate minutes in his preparation. In their second pre-season game, Julio Cobos’s squad beat Arroyo at home this Saturday by 0-2. Molina, on the stroke of half-time, scored the first goal for the Verdiblanco team and Merenciano, already in the 81st minute, sentenced the visitors in a match in which there was a good atmosphere in the stands.

The next summer ‘bolo’ for Cacereño will take place this coming Wednesday at the La Isla stadium in front of Coria. After this meeting, and before the official competition begins on September 4 at the Alcorcón B fiefdom, Cacereño will still have time to establish concepts against Mérida and Badajoz at home, as well as away against Miajadas and Moralo.

So far, the coaching staff of Cacereño is not encountering difficulties in these first weeks of group work. At least, as far as touched players are concerned. All the members of the squad, including Javito and Rubén, have enjoyed minutes, as have some youth players. The coach’s intention is that his pupils acquire the optimal tone of competition to reach the first league matchday with all the guarantees.
