The first leaks about the next device in OPPO’s Reno range are already known, and by the way it seems quite similar to a recently presented device, why is it?
Due to a leak by a well-known user of Weibo (Chinese favorite social network), Digital Chat Station, we have been able to see an image of a device that this same user claims will be the OPPO Reno8.
Although we remember, in November of last year, OPPO announced the arrival of the Reno7 device on the Chinese market, which was officially presented globally on February 4.
These Reno7 had a camera module and a very original and striking design, and this year it seems that the Reno8 will undergo a change in terms of its continuity in design.
It should be remembered that, as happened with the Reno7, this device will arrive several months early in Chinaand then possibly make its debut in India or globally, depending on experiences with the latest models.
Something that is very evident should be noted, and that is that this device looks like a decal of the OnePlus 10 Prodevice of which we recently made a first impression, with an exactly the same camera module, and with only one differencea priori, which is the absence of curvature on the screen.
This type of trend is normal, especially if we take into account that OPPO and OnePlus are part of the same technology group, BBK Electronics, and that OPPO and OnePlus merged a few months ago.
For years it has been OnePlus that has used the designs of its older brotheras we can well remember with the accuracy that the OnePlus One and the OPPO Find 7 kept each other then, and that was repeated during the following years.
This time it seems that OPPO has decided use device layout flagship of the smaller companyand it must be admitted, it makes sense because it is a different design from the rest of the companies on the market.
Not only do we have an idea of the design of it, but also this leaker has given us information about the specifications that this device would have.
Supposedly it would have flat screenof a size of 6.55 inchesresolution FHD+ and technology AMOLED with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The main camera of the device mount a 50MP IMX766 sensor by Sony.
This camera sensor is the same one used by OPPO’s most premium device from last year, the Find X3 Pro, which tells us that we will have a main sensor that will be very up to the rest of the competition.
As for the rest of the specifications that we know, it would be a somewhat smaller version of the OnePlus 10 Prosince the latter has a 6.7-inch screen, QHD+ resolution and AMOLED LTPO technology compared to the 6.5-inch, FullHD+ and AMOLED of the Reno8, matching the screen refresh rate of 120Hz, which will give us a very smooth experience.
It is curious to see the dance of cases that we are having between OPPO, OnePlus and Realme. It is not the first time that we see this type of reuse and synergies between the designs of these companies, not to mention their layers of software customization, more of the same.
Everything looks like this year the presentation of the OPPO Reno8 can be brought forward to the month of May, and in which, according to what they tell us, it could also bring with it the Reno8, Reno8 Pro and Reno8 Pro+ models, and there we can see the rest of the specifications of the same.
