The Gil-Albert Institute takes up poetry with José Luis Ferris

The Juan Gil-Albert Institute of Culture has organized the first session of the new season of the “Feeding Rains” cycle. The activity will be dedicated to the Alicante author José Luis V. Ferris and will take place on Thursday, January 27, at 8:00 p.m., at the Casa Bardin in Alicante. This cycle of poetry, with more than a decade of existence and great reception by the literary community, aims to highlight the wide poetic panorama that the province of Alicante currently enjoys from a perspective of encounter and closeness.

Coinciding with the release of Ferris’s latest book –an extension of the biography of Miguel Hernández that will see the light of day February 2-, the cycle will continue for eight sessions monthly to give voice to authors of different generations and aesthetics, some with a long history and others who, despite having less experience, have a great projection in the world of poetry. In addition, attendees will be given some literary sheets with the work of each of the authors.

Is about authors who write in the two official languages of the Valencian Community and they coexist in the world of verses from different artistic approaches, even interdisciplinary. In addition, the project includes the presence of poets who move within the Alicante underground and that have a long background, with the intention of broadening the official perspective and bringing us closer to the reality of citizenship.
