The heat wave that will come to an end on Sunday will have a thermal rebound this Saturday in the Ebro area, where the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has activated the first red notices of this unusual episode in June, since in Aragón, Navarra and La Rioja the mercury will rise this Saturday to 42ºC. In total, fifteen autonomous communities, all except Extremadura and the Canary Islands, will have warnings due to the risk of heat, rain or storms.
In addition, the AEMET maintains the warning for important risk (orange) in Andalusia, Catalonia, Community of Madrid, Basque Country, where temperatures will range between 37 and 41 degrees Celsius. Likewise, it has activated risk warnings (yellow) in Asturias, the Balearic Islands, Cantabria, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, part of Catalonia, the Region of Murcia and the Valencian Community.
Nevertheless This Saturday there will not only be warnings due to heat, but the AEMET foresees risk due to storms in Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria and Castila and León. Asturias, for its part, will add the risk of rainfall, which may leave 15 liters per square meter in one hour.
