The process of selling the most convoluted club in history is culminated. The transfer of shares of Badajoz had to go through several filters to get ahead and has already passed the last instance. The Higher Sports Council has authorized the acquisition of the shareholding package by Lanuspe SL from Feverstone SA. A few months earlier, in March, the Investigating Court number 6 of Malaga had given its approval and also had the approval of the Prosecutor’s Office and the State Lawyer provided that two conditions were met. Then everything went through the signing of Joaquín Parra to definitively seal the purchase-sale agreement with Oliver’s group. There was no precedent for an operation of this magnitude with the owner of a football club in jail. A permit had to be requested for a notary to access the prison to send all the documentation to the Sevillian businessman and ratify with his signature the commitment reached months ago.

Badajoz is close to 4,000 subscribers

The CSD approved the transfer of the share package on June 30. In this way, Badajoz SAD is now officially owned by Lanuspe SL with a share capital of 99.75 percent that is divided between 59.85 percent held by Atlantis Capital and 39.90 by Oliver’s group. , the rest of the 0.25 percent is represented by the small shareholders. Lanuspe becomes the majority shareholder of the black and white club, a company that became 60 percent of the Mexican group about two months ago, with José Luis Orantes as owner and the other 40 percent of Luis Oliver’s family.

The club from Badajoz held a general meeting of shareholders on June 23 to proceed with the change of the members of the board of directors of the SAD and in which Luis Díaz-Ambrona was appointed as president, Leonardo Casanova general director and Diego García secretary . The organizational chart is completed with the largest shareholder José Luis Orantes as director, as well as Nicolás Agustín Vázquez and Alejandra Oliver as CEOs.

The first installment expired on July 30.

The agreement contemplated between the Parra family and Lanuspe is for 1,500,000 euros to be paid in five installments, the first of 300,000 euros before July 30, 2022 and the four subsequent payments each September until 2025. Judge Juan Carlos Velasco issued an order on March 2 in which he included two resolutory conditions to allow the sale at the request of each one by the Prosecutor’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office. The first, that the contract will be without effect in the event that the buying party fails to comply with the payment terms and thus the shares will be returned to the seller and secondly, that these amounts be deposited in an account consigned by the Malaga Court.
