The extreme risk scenario due to the covid pandemic presented by young people between 20 and 29 years old is extended this Wednesday to those between 12 and 19, according to Health data, which adds 9,227 positives and 46 deaths, with an increase in the incidence at 14 days up to 117 cases (10 more than yesterday).
According to data from the Ministry of Health, the occupancy in the ucis by covid patients is 6.7% (two tenths less), while the hospital pressure remains at 1.9%. The total of Infections since the beginning of the pandemic now amount to 3,808,960 and the deaths to 80,875, of which 61 have been reported in the last seven days.
Catalonia returns to the situation of high risk (with an incidence of between 150 and 250 cases), which it had abandoned on May 20, the date on which it stood at 151.9, since in the last 24 hours its rate of transmission has increased to 182.78.
The Catalan community is situated in the scenario of high risk of transmission together with Cantabria (194.3) and Andalusia (162.9).
With the exception of the autonomous city of Ceuta (16.6), there is no longer any community in a situation of new normality.
The rest of the territories are at medium risk (between 50 and 150 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in 14 days).
Cumulative incidence by age groups and communities
The group of young people between 12 and 19 years old enters this Wednesday in a situation of extreme risk of transmission (above 250 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in 14 days), placing its incidence at 287.84.
Covid transmission in young people between 20 and 29 remains at extreme risk, with 293.3 cases.
By communities, in the group between 20 and 29 years old, the one with the highest incidence is Cantabria, with 726.6, followed by Catalonia, with 554.8, and La Rioja, with 459.6.
Regarding the segment from 12 to 19, Cantabria is also the one with the highest incidence, with 572.2; followed by Catalonia, with 469.8, and Melilla, with 438.6.
Of the 61 deaths in the last seven days, 20 have been notified in Andalusia, 11 in Madrid, followed very far by Aragon (4).
Asturias remains the community with the highest lethality in the pandemic (3.7%), which at the national level is 2.1%.
Hospital admissions and discharges
In the last 24 hours, 316 admissions due to covid have been registered in Spanish hospitals and 324 discharges.
Only three autonomies exceed 10% of covid patients in their intensive care units: La Rioja (15%), Madrid (13%) and Catalonia (10.9%).
At the moment, 2,375 covid patients are hospitalized in the plant and 601 in the ucis.
In the week of June 20 to 26, the autonomous communities have carried out a total of 618,888 diagnostic tests carried out in this period, with a positivity of 5.2%.
