The Local Police has filed 152 complaints throughout the weekend, the double than in the previous week, in the police operations deployed to control and monitor the use of masks, the curfew, enforce the security measures, parties in homes and the prevention of alcohol consumption on public roads to stop the pandemic in Alicante.
Of these sanctions, a total of 46 have been for breaching the curfew and not being able to justify trips in the city, intercepted in the different static and itinerant traffic controls, and in addition, six establishments have been sanctioned for not respecting distances between tables and clients, and exceed the capacity, organize illegal parties with music and dance, in the police device organized from Friday to Sunday.
The Local Police in the itinerant devices organized over the weekend also intervened to dissolve a total of sixteen parties that they were generating annoyances and complaints from individuals, and were reported for noise forcing the music to be turned off.
The agents established preventive controls with the Night Service and Fox throughout the city, and during the operation 38 people were denounced for not wearing the required masks, 11 for consuming alcohol on public roads, 24 for not respecting safety distances , and a total of 10 per smoke without keeping their distance, consuming narcotic substances and urinating on the street.
The Councilor for Security, José Ramón González, appeals to “the maximum responsibility, good sense and conscience of citizens this Christmas to avoid meeting, we continue to fight against the coronavirus, and parties cannot be held, we must not relax or neglect with mandatory preventive measures, the virus is still present in our lives and killing ”.
During the last night of Sunday the Police raised 10 minutes for non-compliance with the curfew and 7 for not wearing masks. The Night Service Attendance Unit, has also intervened this morning in two traffic accidents resulting in material damage and judicial alcohol.
The first took place on Marques de Molins street, at around 11pm, when a vehicle collided with others that were parked for causes investigated by the Local Police Reporting Unit. The agents also went to a second accident that took place on Maestro Caballero street, around 12:15 am, when a passenger car collided with an urban waste collection truck.
Likewise, the Attendance and Night Service unit of the Local Police throughout the weekend has deployed an extensive traffic surveillance and discipline device, carried out various breathalyzer checks, in which 15 drivers have been reported in various accesses, city streets for traffic violations, accidents, and driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages, and attended ten traffic accidents, among other interventions.
