The Moroccan House of Representatives has pointed this Thursday to Ceuta like a busy moroccan city and has denounced “ulterior motives” and “falsehoods” in the motion approved by the European Parliament with which they reveal the rejection of the Rabat strategy and make it look like it would put the lives of thousands of minors at risk to respond to the gesture of Spain to attend to the leader of the Polisario Front, Brahim Gali.

In a statement issued after an emergency meeting, the Moroccan Lower House has rejected “the numerous inappropriate provisions contained in the text »of the European Parliament, as well as has pointed out that “it is evident that this is a maneuver to divert attention from a political crisis between Morocco and Spain.”

“It is a futile attempt to Europeanize a bilateral crisis whose genesis is known and whose responsibilities are well defined,” he pointed out in a message similar to that launched by Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, who clarified on Wednesday that the political crisis open with Spain “persists.”

«The Moroccan-Spanish crisis is linked to the attitude and action of Spain on the issue of the Sahara, sacred cause of the nation of Morocco ”, has influenced.

He also regretted that “the European Parliament is exploited by a few MEPs who ignore the important partnership between Morocco and the European Union “ and he wanted to “greet” the “many MEPs who did not support this conflicting approach.” Actually, the motion was approved by 397 votes in favor, 85 against and 196 abstentions.

On the other hand, he stressed that the United Nations has not “commented on the issue”, as well as that the European Commission and the European External Action Service have welcomed the immigration decisions of Morocco.

The joint motion of the European Parliament of popular, socialist, liberal and green regrets the worsening diplomatic and political crisis which “undermines the multidimensional strategy and the privileged neighborhood relations between Morocco, the European Union and its Member States” and have defended the diplomatic route to address the matter.

Likewise, the resolution has insisted on the message that Ceuta is an external border of the EUThey have also valued positively the announcement of the Alawite kingdom to facilitate the return of all identified unaccompanied minors who have crossed into European territory illegally.

Yes indeed, regarding the conflict in Western Sahara, the trigger for the crisis between Morocco and Spain, The European Parliament reiterates the “consolidated” position of the EU, stressing that it is in line with International Law and United Nations resolutions. And it emphasizes that only a political process led by the United Nations can achieve a lasting, peaceful and mutually acceptable solution to the problem.
