The brand one plus just announced the launch of smartphone model Nord CE 2, with faster 65W SUPERVOOC charging, a more powerful processor than the previous generation, and smarter cameras. The Nord CE 2 features the 65W SUPERVOOC fast charging feature, which provides the device’s 4,500mAh dual-cell battery with up to a day’s worth of power with 15 minutes of mains connection, so that’s twice the faster than the original OnePlus Nord CE, and you can charge it from 1% to 100% in 32 minutes. It is a low-voltage solution with 8 integrated temperature sensors and an independent charging circuit that ensures real-time monitoring of temperatures inside the device, when charging, for added safety. The system complies with international safety and quality standards, and is also certified TÜV Rheinland for fast and safe charging, which means it has been through rigorous testing.
Like all devices of the brand, it includes a software that reduces the time the battery spends at 100%, overnight, to improve battery health and lifespan.
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 octa-core processor, featuring a 6nm architecture along with support for 5G and Wi-Fi 6 network speeds. The design has been optimized to improve power efficiency, control thermal and system stability, also in prolonged gaming sessions.
The device has a 6.43-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate that favors optimal visibility and fluidity in any task. It is HDR10+ certified, resulting in richer, deeper colors on supported platforms like Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime Video.
It has a triple rear camera consisting of a 64 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra wide angle camera and a 2 MP macro lens. The main camera captures images with a good level of detail and color, even in low light environments thanks to its f/1.7 aperture. The hardware of the camera is combined with the software artificial intelligence like Nightscape and an improved portrait mode. Nightscape is supported by the OnePlus Nord CE 2 and is suitable for capturing photos in low light. In an instant, it takes up to nine different photos with various exposures and interlaces them to provide the best scene. Portrait mode, meanwhile, has been improved with more accurate edge detection and the ability to adjust the level of depth of field. This mode is compatible with both the 64 MP rear camera and the camera for selfie 16MP.
Video capture features AI-enhanced backlighting and color optimization functionality that increases video quality when shooting in low light, particularly in uneven lighting environments. In Europe, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 will go on sale on March 10 (with pre-order from the 3rd of the same month). The price of the equipment (8GB/128GB) is 349 euros.
