Yesterday saw a sensational 64 for Collin Morikawa, Emiliano Grillo and Jon Rahm, all three were inches from equaling Nick Faldo and Payne Stewart’s field record. There were good 65s from 36 hole leader Louis Oosthuizen, defending champion Shane Lowry, 2011 pending redemption story Dustin Johnson and fan Matthias Schmid. There was also a feel-good hole-in-one for rookie Jonathan Thomson! Not bad, huh?
