Infections and deaths from coronavirus they do not give truce in Alicante during the third wave of the pandemic. With 2,597 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the province double the average incidence of the Valencian Community (1,350) and stands at the head of Spain. The rate, according to the latest data published by the Ministry of Health, has experienced an alarming increase from 1,570 to 2,597 infections per 100,000 inhabitants after the last data update. Just two months later, the incidence has almost quintupled and the forecasts made by the experts do not suggest that the curve will narrow in the short term. The Ministry of Health does not have “exact details” of the causes that have led the Valencian Community to experiment such a “rapid increase.” But the truth is that days go by and it continues to lead the national ranking of accumulated incidence by regions.
