The Supreme Court decision reflected the division of its composition between conservatives and liberals.

The United States Supreme Court blocked President Joe Biden’s provision that required workers in large companies to be vaccinated against covid-19.

The executive order also required a weekly virus test for those who refused to be immunized.

Judges at the nation’s highest court said the mandate exceeds the authority of the president.

Separately, they ruled that a more limited vaccination mandate could apply to staff at federally funded healthcare facilities.
