More basic health zones are incorporated into the rstrictures in the Community of Madrid. The epidemiological situation so advises: Madrid today has 452 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, and 2,170 patients hospitalized in the ward and 390 in the ICU, figures that awaken the “alert” of the health authorities, has recognized the Minister of Health, Enrique Ruiz Escudero. For this reason, from Monday new basic health zones will be incorporated: 23 zones and 9 towns that will join the 18 areas and 5 towns that already had perimeter closures. In them they live 1.2 million people from Madrid, and 25 percent of the cases are concentrated of coronavirus infections.
All these measures will last until January 25. And the validity will be extended for another 7 days in the basic areas of Andrés Mellado (in the Chamberí district), Sanchinarro (Hortaleza), Aravaca (Moncloa-Aravaca) and General Moscardó, (Tetuán). And in the areas of Felipe II and Mayor Bartolomé González, in Móstoles; and in Getafe Norte, in Getafe. And the restrictions continued in the basic areas of La Moraleja, in Alcobendas; Catholic Monarchs and V Centenario, in San Sebastián de los Reyes
Until now, a total of 18 basic health zones and 5 complete municipalities were confined. And they continue: they are those of Marqués de la Valdavia and Alcobendas-Chopera, in Alcobendas; Las Olivas and Aranjuez, in Aranjuez; San Fernando and Los Alperchines, in San Fernando de Henares; Virgen del Cortijo, in the Hortaleza district of Madrid capital; and the basic area of Torrelodones, which affects the municipalities of Torrelodones and Hoyo de Manzanares.
Likewise, the General Directorate of Public Health has established entry and exit restrictions in the perimeter of five specific localities that do not coincide with that of a basic area, since the transmission sources are more localized: Ciempozuelos, Navalcarnero, Algete, Mejorada del Campo and Villarejo de Salvanés. All of them will also remain closed until January 18.
On the other hand, the restrictions continued until Monday, January 11, in the basic areas of La Moraleja, in Alcobendas; Reyes Católicos and V Centenario, in San Sebastián de los Reyes.
The Curve of contagions by Covid-19 in Madrid is rising alarmingly in the region. According to the latest data provided by the Ministry of Health on Thursday, the cumulative incidence in Madrid amounted to 452.19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days. On Tuesday it was at 407.65, which gives an idea of the speed with which cases are increasing.
Regarding vaccinations, next week the 60,000 doses administered. From tomorrow, Saturday, the health professionals will begin to be vaccinated. From January 17 they will begin to put the second dose.
