There are already three communities that have put on the table the possibility of making use of the curfew to stop contagions in Spain. The last one has been Canary Islands, which announced this Thursday that it will ask the region’s Superior Court of Justice (TSJC) for authorization to limit mobility at night between 00:30 and 6:00 on those islands in phase 3 and 4.
The Valencian Community It has also decided to ask the TSJCV for a selective curfew for municipalities with high incidence – from 1 to 6 hours – and the limitation of meetings to ten people in all spaces. In addition, it has decided to close nightlife again due to the “explosion of contagion” among young people, advance the closure of the hotel industry by half an hour and reduce the capacity of mass shows.
For its part, the Board of Castilla y León, which had proposed to the central government to apply a general curfew, will not ask the Superior Court of Justice of the community for its endorsement for this measure, since it was rejected when it was previously requested. Apart from the curfew, the region has approved this Thursday the closure of nightlife at 2 in the morning, eliminating bar consumption in these places, which will have a capacity of one third and will not be able to use their dance floors, in addition to limiting table occupancy to ten and, on the other hand, it closes the clubs.
Limits to nightlife
Most of the autonomous communities have chosen to limit nightlife. The last to do so was the Region of Murcia, which decreed this Thursday the closure of the interior of these premises.
