TMB recommends using the Metro for the duration of the race and when traveling around the streets where it will run
The 31st edition of eDreams Half Marathon of Barcelona is celebrated this Sunday. The starting gun of the popular race will be at 8.30 am at the Pujades walk, in Poblenou, and is scheduled to end at the same point at 11.30 am.
The circuit will travelAfter the Pujades promenade, the Picasso promenade, the Marqués Argentera avenue, the Isabel II square, the Colón promenade, the Josep Carné street, the Drassanes square, the Parallel, the Entença street, Gran Vía, the Bailén street, the Ronda Sant Pere, Paseo de San Juan, Paseo de Lluís Companys, Calle Bonaventura Muñoz, Calle Pallars, Calle Laguna, Calle Perú, Calle Josep Pla, Gran Vía, Rambla Prim, Diagonal Llobregat, Espronceda street, Diagonal direction Besós, Levante square, Taulat promenade, Selva de Mar street, Garcia Faria promenade, Calvell promenade, Litoral avenue, Olympic Port, Arquitecte Sert street, Salvador street Espriu, Marina street and, finally, the Pujades promenade.
In addition to affecting traffic on these streets, the race it will also affect some bus and tram lines, according to information provided by Barcelona Metropolitan Transport (TMB) and Trolley car in separate releases. Between 8.30 and 12 hours, approximately, 38 TMB bus lines will be modified with alterations or limitations in their route: D20, D50, H12, H14, H16, V9, V11, V13, V15, V17, V19, V21, V23, V27, V29, V31, 6, 7 13, 19, 21, 22, 24, 39, 47, 54, 55, 59, 63, 67, 120, 121, 136, 141, 192 and the red and blue routes from the Barcelona Bus Turístic.
TMB has recommended the use of the Metro during that time and when traveling around the streets where the race will take place, especially in the area delimited by Gran Vía and the waterfront.
On the other hand, the tram will interrupt the service of the Trambesòs line T4 between 7.30 am and 11.50 am, hoping to recover the service between the stops at Estació de Sant Adrià and Glòries between 11.50 am and 11.20 am. From 12.20 hours it is expected that the circulation will be re-established all along the line.
During the damage to this line, Tram will reinforce the service of line T6 to facilitate travel in the area.
