A former member of the Nationalist Youth of Catalonia (JNC), the former CDC youth and current Junts youth, has accused a former CDC official from Tarragona of alleged “sexual harassment” for having erotic content conversations with him and another young man when they were 16 and 17 in 2014 through a WhatsApp group. The former member of the JNC, Nil Garcia, explains that initially they maintained a strictly political relationship with this person and that he integrated him into the formation, and even introduced him to important party positions, and that, after about three or four months, “the thing began to degenerate.
He has detailed that the ex-charge, whom he mentions as ‘Mr. Q’, created a WhatsApp group with him and another minor, insisted that the two young men maintain relationsexplained his sexual experiences and sent videos of sexual content “for them to learn” and even a video of the other boy naked.
“He began to control us more for the group. What were we doing, where were we, who were we meeting with, and even calls at inappropriate hours or in the middle of class. He said he was doing it for our own good,” she recalled.
Garcia adds in his Twitter thread that after having explained his case, twenty young people have explained similar cases to him. «Some of us had not made it public because he had not gone beyond some Racy or ‘strange’ conversations which caused us a lot of discomfort. Party complaint unanswered
The young man has reported that he filed an internal complaint with the party and that, in his words, they helped him a lot, which made him return to militancy. However, he regrets that the complaint came to nothing. «They saw no evidence of malpractice in which a 50-year-old guy talked about sex with two 16-17-year-old boys and had a video of one masturbating“, he explains on Twitter.
For all these reasons, he explained that he had made it public because a week ago he received a message from the former CDC official through social networks, and he regretted that «He continues meeting with youths to ‘talk about politics’«.
The JNC asks to “clarify the facts”
Shortly after the case was known, the general secretary of the JNC, Álvaro Clapés, has expressed his support for the affected militants and former militants on his social networks and has made himself available to “clarify the facts and Act accordingly«. »Zero tolerance with harassment«, added Clapés, who contacted the general secretary of Junts, Jordi Turull, to coordinate the actions carried out.
