The Fritz! Box 4060 model stands out for its high-speed wireless connection. Its advantages include the integration of: Wi-Fi 6, up to 2400+2400 gross Mbps in the 5 GHz frequency and 1200 gross Mbps in the 2.4 GHz frequency. It is combinable with any DSL modem, cable modem, or modem for fiber optic connection. It has 3 Gigabit LAN ports; 1 2.5 Gigabit WAN port (10/100/1000/2.5 GBase-T); and 1 USB 3.0 port.

The 4060 is powered by technology Mesh Wi-Fi, which makes possible the collaboration of all Fritz! devices, working as a single network. The units share information, thus improving the performance of wireless equipment. It integrates a DECT base, with the capacity to register up to six cordless phones.

These possibilities are managed by the Fritz!OS operating system which, as an additional advantage for the user, presents a simple and intuitive interface in which different home automation products can be included. The 4060 is a tri-band Wi-Fi router with Wi-Fi 6 that achieves maximum speeds on the wireless network. It can be used over fiber optic, DSL, or cable Internet connections. It has the NAS function, which makes it a local network multimedia switchboard. Other functions, such as a DECT-based switchboard, an integrated firewall or home automation control complete the capabilities of this device.

The device is configured with Wi-Fi 6 which, at the moment, is the most secure and fastest standard. It reaches speeds up to 40 percent faster than previous generations of Wi-Fi, allowing the user to browse and play audiovisual content at very high speeds. Technologically, and as shown in the tests carried out, it makes it possible that, although there are many active devices at the same time, the data transmission speeds remain high in each one of them.

In gaming sessions, low latency is available and it is worth noting the energy saving functions that make the battery of connected devices last longer. Being tri-band, it can work both on the 2.4 GHz frequency and on two separate 5 GHz frequencies. This capability provides optimal performance simultaneously across multiple Wi-Fi connections.

The company indicates in the product data sheet that it supports previous standards such as Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 4, which makes it compatible with any device.
