Perhaps the new Marvel superhero has not come with all the revolution of the genre codes that Disney promised, but its first episode (of six), already on the platform, offers a good dose of dark fun. Oscar Isaac (in a recital of impressive physical comedy) and Ethan Hawke (as the perfect sinister villain) face off in a duel involving, among others, the Egyptian god of vengeance.

The best video game of the week is this impressive indie that comes under the seal of Raphaël Colantonio, founder of Arkane Studios and co-creator of ‘Dishonored’ and ‘Prey’. Indie RPG Camouflaged, unfolds a world where western and fantasy go hand in hand in a macabre setting and that leaves the player complete freedom to explore a fascinating environment, brimming with parallel paths and side quests.

‘Moon Knight’ wants to revolutionize the Marvel series. For that you need more than good intentions

‘Tolkien’s Hobbits’ (David Day)

If they are not Tolkien’s most beloved creation, they lack little: protagonists and witnesses of the wonders shown in ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’, they are now the subject of study in this essay that examines the origins of the race and explores their Shire, the structure of their society, their habits and customs, and how the author fashioned them into the unlikely stars of Middle-earth.

The first criticisms are destroying this new approach to the Marvel universe by Sony and via the Spider-verse. The reasons: the freshness of ‘Venom’ is nowhere to be found, the effects aren’t great, and Jared Leto’s charisma doesn’t even compare to Tom Hardy’s. A shame, because the mythical Living Vampire from the Spider-Man comics deserved a genuine superhero horror movie.

‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2’

The good memory of the first part has led us to trust that ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2’ and the presentation in society of Tails and Knuckles would live up to its predecessor. It is not like this: comedy with humans is less inspired, Jim Carrey is not as prominent (although its moments are by far the best of the show) and the existential dramas between cuddly toys fail to strike a chord. Still, it’s a powerful family show that will please fans of the Sega franchise and fans of the extensive lore of Sonic, which is honored here with much more generosity than in the first installment.

‘Moonshot’

An exclusive HBO Max youth comedy that, despite the usually reliable seal of Greg Berlanti, does not take off beyond its strict thematic limits. Two young men who are like oil and water start an unexpected trip to Mars in the near future so that she can meet her boyfriend. Sentimental messes and romance in a zero atmosphere for a somewhat predictable, goofy and too sugary film.
