Thursday Night Football DraftKings Picks: NFL DFS Lineup Tips for Week 1 Cowboys-Buccaneers Showdown Tournaments

The NFL is giving single-game DFS players a showdown treat to kick off Week 1 and the 2021 season, pitting the reigning champion Buccaneers against a restocked Cowboys team that lit up the scoreboards for the first five games of the season. last season when QB Dak Prescott was healthy. Vegas sportsbooks opened this matchup with over / under 53, the second highest on the list, and installed the Bucs as six-point favorites. If we accept those numbers, we should be looking for both teams to find the paint multiple times on Thursday night, giving daily fantasy football players plenty of options for their DraftKings Showdown lineup.

Whether you’re new to DFS single-game contests or a veteran, it’s important to brush up on some of the basics and the differences between various sites. In DraftKings, the key things to remember is that it is Full point PPR and here they are 3-point bonuses for 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, and 100 receiving yards. The other big difference stands out in our Captain pick analysis, so let’s get right to it!

DraftKings Showdown Picks: Cowboys vs. Buccaneers

$ 50,000 budget, at least one player from each team is needed.

Captain (1.5x value, 1.5x points): QB Dak Prescott, Cowboys ($ 15,600)

Unlike FanDuel and Yahoo, DraftKings makes you pay a premium for the best player (“Captain” in DraftKings, “MVP” in FanDuel and Superstar “in Yahoo), whose points are multiplied by 1.5. By choosing players who already They’re expensive, the salary increase puts a burden on the bottom of our lineup, but there’s reason enough to be confident that our cheapest players pay dividends and we’re willing to absorb the risk of our dual QB build. The Cowboys may want to ease Prescott into the 2021 season to some degree, but that’s a lot easier said than done when you’re in primetime on opening night and lined up against the reigning Super Bowl champs. There’s too much pass-catching talent at hand. Prescott enough to get away from him in this confrontation.

MORE LINES FROM TNF DFS: Yahoo single game | FD only game

FLEX: QB Tom Brady, Buccaneers ($ 11,200)

We’re expecting great things from Brady in this primetime showcase against what appears to be an unsatisfying Dallas D again. Having both quarterbacks in the lineup gives us a high floor and a high ceiling, so let’s expect a bit of a shootout (or Escape from the Buccaneers).

FLEX: WR Chris Godwin, Buccaneers ($ 8,600)

Identifying the best-performing wide receivers before a particular Buccaneers game will be a challenge this season. Godwin is more than capable of emerging as the best of the trio in Thursday night’s showdown, and it is certainly possible that he does so with relatively modest ownership compared to his fellow racers. After all, Mike Evans beat him in 2020, and Antonio Brown is significantly cheaper.

FLEX: WR Antonio Brown, Buccaneers ($ 5,600)

The Bucs are loaded into their wide receiver corps, so this week we’re doubling down. Brown will play a big role and will handle a good portion of goals this season. With the way Brady and the Bucs are likely to deal the stone, Brown will be a weekly threat to lead the receiving trio in fantasy points. Your salary will catch up over time, but until then, we want to enjoy the earnings.

WEEK 1 STANDARD RATINGS:
Field marshal | Running backwards | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

FLEX: Ronald Jones II, Buccaneers ($ 5,000)

We want a piece of every Bucs score, and Jones seems more likely to handle goal-line duties than Leonard Fournette. Plus, he’s more likely to hit the 100-yard rushing bonus than Fournette thanks to his ability to hit long runs.

WEEK 1 PPR RANKINGS:
Field marshal | Running backwards | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

FLEX: K Ryan Succup, Buccaneers ($ 4,000)

We were serious when we said we wanted a piece of every Bucs point. It may seem like a disappointment to include a kicker in your lineup, but in a game with such a high projected total, there is reason to believe that Succop will have enough chances to make a fantasy impact. We will accept it at a relatively inexpensive price.
