Thursday Night Football DraftKings Picks: NFL DFS Lineup Tips for Week 10 Ravens-Dolphins Showdown Tournaments

Week 10 begins with a football matchup Thursday night between the Ravens and the Dolphins. The Ravens are the favorites on the road, with 7.5 points at various Las Vegas sportsbooks, and the total opened to 48.0. This has the makings of another dominant performance from Baltimore, and that’s why we’re breaking down our DFS budget to include key Ravens contributors, including Lamar Jackson as our “Captain. We’ve called up the Los Angeles’ playmakers. Ravens often this year, so we’re happy to play them in the lineup for this week’s DraftKings Showdown tournament.

Here’s a reminder of the key settings for DraftKings single-game contests: Full point PPR, and here they are three-point bonuses for 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, and 100 receiving yards. The Captain’s pick costs 1.5 times the player’s original price, but also gets his total points multiplied by 1.5.

DraftKings Showdown Picks: Ravens vs. Delphins

$ 50,000 budget, at least one player from each team is needed.

Captain: (1.5x salary, 1.5x points) QB Lamar Jackson, Ravens ($ 20,700)

Lineup differentiation is a key element to DFS’s success, and while Jackson will likely be the most possessed piece in this matchup, his exorbitant price tag may keep him out of the “Captain” spot for much of the field. He’s sandwiched a couple of merely average performances (for him) between 35.6 and 45.9 DraftKing-point outbursts, and we certainly don’t want to miss another eruption.

FLEX: WR Marquise Brown, Ravens ($ 11,000)

Brown has been a dominant force this season, owning 25.7 percent of the team’s target share. He has received 10 or more looks in three of the last four contests and has earned the DK three point bonus in two of them. The Dolphins, or at least head coach Brian Flores, will be well aware of the damage Brown can inflict in a secondary. He exploded 33.7 DK points in Miami in his 2019 NFL debut, and will be in position to hang another flashy number on the Dolphins on Thursday night.

WEEK 10 DFS: Best Stacks | Best values | Lineup Creator

FLEX: TE Mark Andrews, Ravens ($ 8,800)

We know Andrews is capable of a monster score, something he emphasized during his 44.7-point DK performance in Week 5. We won’t bet the house on such a big bang this Thursday, but he does have a target share of 22.7 percent. which is complemented by a healthy 13.3 yard / catch average. The Dolphins haven’t defended tight ends well, and they won’t be able to afford to devote additional resources to containing Andrews thanks to the presence of Brown and Jackson.

Field marshal | Running backwards | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

FLEX: TE Mike Gesicki, Dolphins ($ 7,400)

We’ll call this our “12 person” structure. Gesicki is second on the Dolphins in targets (63) but leads the team in receiving yards (529) thanks to an average of 12.0 yards per catch. For context, leading goal Jaylen Waddle is averaging 8.9 yards per grip. While we would prefer Tua Tagovailoa (finger) under center, Gesicki has been attacked 33 times in the four games Jacoby Brissett has started, so we expect him to be busy either way.

Field marshal | Running backwards | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

FLEX: RB Salvon Ahmed, Dolphins ($ 800)

While Myles Gaskin has taken the lead in the Dolphins’ backfield, his grip doesn’t appear to be particularly firm. Ahmed is third on the team in touches and has 4.1 yards per touch identical to Gaskin’s. It has been productive when presented with enough opportunities, as evidenced by the performances of 10.8, 15.0 and 20.7 DK in 2020. If you can catch the proverbial “hot hand,” an increase in usage could be within your grasp this week.

WEEK 10 DFS LINEUPS: FanDuel | DraftKings | Yahoo!

FLEX: WR Preston Williams, Dolphins ($ 200)

Be sure to check out the latest on Williams status for Thursday night. It is expected to be “available” after having been a healthy scratch for the past two weeks. Williams’ most recent respectable performance was Week 5 when he scored 9.7 DK points on five goals and one run attempt. He has 10 double-digit DK performances in his career, and he has enough capacity to make a contribution to our final score on Thursday. We don’t expect anything memorable from Williams, but we have to think outside the box if we’re going to fill the top of our lineup like we have.

WEEK 10 FANTASY: Sleepers | Busts | Get started, feel them

Alternative consideration: If Preston Williams is feeling too risky, DFS players can go for the risk-reward profile of Ty’Son Williams ($ 1,200). Ty’Son didn’t handle the bunt in Week 9, but he was on the field for at least 18 plays. His 5.4 DK points in week 7 represented his best start since week 2.
