The Tourist Board launches a calendar of free guided visits during the month of December that will visit the most emblematic places of the city. Have been divided into of modalities, on the one hand dramatized visits especially aimed at children accompanied by parents and visits to the city center for visitors and residents with a special focus on Christmas, as reported by the consistory through a statement.

The schedule of dramatized visits, which last approximately 2 hours for a maximum of six people upon reservation, It starts on the first day of the bridge and will resume from December 21 to December 31 with two passes from 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. While the guided tours will take place between today 5 and December 27 with the same schedule.

The starting point will be the Tourist Office located on the Paseo del Puerto starting a tour that will pass through the sports marina and the Esplanade of Spain. You will continue to Plaza del Ayuntamiento, where you can see the Guinness Record Nativity Scene and the Consistorial building, to return to Calle Mayor to Plaza del Abad Penalva with a visit to the Cathedral of San Nicolás.

Likewise, along Calle Mayor you will arrive at Portal de Elche to visit the Australian ficus, wall and portal or the Christmas tree that shines on the Esplanade. The walk will continue until you reach the Plaza de Gabriel Miró with its cascaruja markets and living nativity scenes, to connect with Calle San Francisco and Plaza de Calvo Sotelo, ending at Plaza de la Muntanyeta where the Municipal Nativity Scene and the artisan market are installed.

Visitors can tour the shopping and leisure area passing through Periodista Pirula Arterius street towards Castaños street to see the Christmas decorations of the Principal Theater. You will continue along Avenida de la Constitución to reach the Central Market where, in the case of morning visits when the market is during business hours, you can make purchases coinciding with the end of the route.

Expansion of nautical activities

On the other hand, within the Alicante Nautical Destination program that has been developing since last October 23, the sea kayaking activity is expanded during the Christmas holidays for children and young people accompanied by parents until December 27 every weekend.
