(CNN Español) — Do UFOs Exist? Yes. Do we know what they are? No, not yet. The Pentagon refers to them as unidentified aerial phenomena and they are very real.
The US Army has confirmed the authenticity of several videos and images recording the encounters with these UFOs. The images are haunting.
This month, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and other agencies are scheduled to deliver unclassified reports on these phenomena to Congress.
These are the videos that we have seen so far and what we know about them
For years, the United States government largely ignored reports of mysterious unidentified flying objects, known as UFOs, that were observed as they moved through restricted military airspace. However, he is now slowly beginning to recognize that UFOs, which the Pentagon refers to as unidentified aerial phenomena, are real.

What has the US government said?
While experts in the field have applauded recent moves by the US government to share more information on reported UFO encounters over the past decades, many remain skeptical that the next report will provide a comprehensive look at the subject.
That’s because the Pentagon has long been reluctant to acknowledge that some of what has been observed is simply inexplicable despite compelling evidence that these objects display characteristics not normally associated with conventional aircraft, according to Elizondo. .
The Pentagon has previously studied recordings of aerial encounters with unknown objects as part of a classified program since closed that was launched by the efforts of former Democratic Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada.
The program began in 2007 and ended in 2012, according to the Pentagon, because the Department of Defense assessed that there were higher priorities that needed funding.
Last year, the Pentagon created a task force to better understand “the nature and origins of” unidentified flying phenomena, the Defense Department said in a statement.
