Police in Utah are investigating a possible link between the disappearance of New Yorker Gabby Petito and the murder of a woman who worked at the apartment in Moab where she and her fiancé had a fight.

The authorities indicated that six days after Petito and her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, will engage in a physical altercation in Moonflower Community Cooperative, the store clerk, Kylen Schulte, 24, and his wife Crystal Turner, 38, were found dead and partially naked in the area where they were camping in The Sal Mountains.

The bodies of Crystal Michelle Turner, 38, and Kylen Carrol Schulte, 24, were found on August 18 by a highway about an hour from Moab, a small town in the Utah desert in the middle of several national parks and 260 miles southeast of Salt Lake City, according to the Grand County Sheriff’s Office.

Before being shot to death, the women told friends that a “sinister man” was molesting them and that they could be killed.

At the time of the killing, authorities, including the San Miguel County line in Colorado, warned campers of the discovery of more than 30 guns in a man’s campsite in Telluride, about two hours from Moab. But, the researchers indicated that the population was not in danger. It is unclear if the suspect was arrested. The arsenal included knives, axes, a crossbow, and various swords.

Now, police in Moab and North Port, Florida, where Petito and Laundrie resided, are trying to establish whether there is an association between the case of the murdered lesbian couple and the disappearance of the 22-year-old girl.

“The Grand County Sheriff’s Office has been in contact with authorities in Florida and they are actively looking at any connection between the Gabby Petito disappearance case and the double homicide that occurred in Grand County,” he told FOX. Sheriff Shan Hackwell.

For his part, Todd Garrison, North Port Police Chief, said: “We have provided you with all the information we can. They don’t have any information on a (murder) suspect right now. They told us that, at this point, they are looking at everything. “

Petito and Laundrie, 23, started a “road trip” in Long Island, NY, which was supposed to culminate in Oregon.

The last time Petito was spotted was at the end of August when se encontraba en Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. After that moment, the young woman stopped communicating with her family. The last message the girl’s mother received was the 30th. In it, it was indicated that she was in Yosemite, but that her cell phone did not have much signal.

Laundrie returned in the 2012 Ford Transit van to North Port, but without Petito.

The young man did not want to cooperate with the authorities, and the girl’s family asked him to say everything he knows.
