The Vanderbilt Commodores men’s basketball team battled the Xavier Musketeers on Tuesday in the quarterfinal round of the 2022 NIT at the Cintas Center in Cincinnati.
The Musketeers defeated the Commodores 75-73.
Vanderbilt’s season ends with the Commodores slipping to 19-17 with the loss.
Xavier improved to 21-13 overall with the victory and advances to the NIT semifinal round on March 29 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, where the Musketeers will play St. Bonaventure.
