The Kentucky basketball team began a four-game exhibition tour Wednesday evening against the Dominican Republic National Select Team at the Baha Mar Resort in the Bahamas.
The Wildcats defeated the Dominicans 108-56.
Reigning Naismith Player of the Year Oscar Tshiebwe led all scorers with 17 points and also grabbed six rebounds in 22 minutes. Sophomore Daimion Collins and freshman Cason Wallace both chipped in 15 points a piece.
Kentucky’s exhibition tour continues at 7 pm Thursday, when the Wildcats take on Mexico’s Tec De Monterrey. The game will be broadcast on the SEC Network.

On a second-half fast break, Kentucky took a 73-42 lead over the Dominicans thanks to a 360-degree dunk from Jacob Toppin.

The Wildcats took a 66-37 lead over the Dominicans in the second half on an alley-oop dunk by Tshiebwe off a pass from Antonio Reeves.

Kentucky took a 57-29 lead over the Dominicans on a 3-pointer from Wallace in the second half. The freshman went 1 for 4 from deep on the evening.
Kentucky’s Daimion Collins hammers home another slam dunk
Collins picked right back up where he left off when the second half began Wednesday night. The sophomore drove the baseline and elevated for a rim-rocking, one-handed slam dunk that gave Kentucky a 50-25 lead over the Dominicans.

Toppin chased down the Dominican’s Yeison Colome for his second block of the first half. The rejection held Kentucky’s lead at 36-21 with less than three minutes remaining.

In his first minutes as a Wildcat, Adou Thiero came up with a steal that led to a fast-break dunk at the other end of the court. Kentucky took a 32-19 lead over the Dominicans on the freshman’s basket.

Kentucky took a 22-13 lead over the Dominican Republic on an emphatic slam dunk from Collins over a couple of defenders. The sophomore drew a foul on the play and knocked down the free throw to give the Wildcats a 23-13 lead.
